2. Boost Your Business  Technology Grant

For businesses with revenues exceeding $500,000, the Boost Your Business Technology Grant offers up to $15,000 to develop a comprehensive digital adoption plan. Our CDAPapproved advisors will work closely with you to design a customized strategy that leverages digital solutions for sustainable growth and competitiveness.

To be eligible for the Boost Your Business Technology grant, your business must meet the following criteria:
  1. 1. Incorporated at the national or provincial level; or be a Canadian resident sole proprietor.
  2. 2. Privately-owned for-profit entity.
  3. 3. Maximum 499 full-time equivalent employees.
  4. 4. At least $500,000 and not more than $100 million in revenue in one (1) of the past three (3) tax years.
The Government of Canada will reimburse you for up to 90% of eligible expenses, up to $15,000. Once your IAMTEAM advisor has completed work on your digital adoption plan, you will submit the invoices to receive your grant payment.
You must apply for the grant directly. However, our team can guide you through the process, review your application, provide feedback to maximize your likelihood of success, and answer any questions you have.
The Government of Canada has a list of partners in its Digital Advisor Marketplace who you can work with. IAMTEAM is an approved digital advisor for the Canada Digital Adoption Program.
You need to submit your digital adoption plan and invoices to the federal government for reimbursement within 9 months of being approved for funding. In most cases, IAMTEAM can help you develop your digital adoption plan much sooner — typically, our work will be completed within 6 weeks of the project kick-off.

Your primary point of contact will be one of our directors, who will recruit support from our extended team as necessary to help develop a tailored and comprehensive transformation plan that's ready for implementation.
Your digital adoption plan is a comprehensive analysis of the opportunities to improve your business by leveraging modern technology. Specific components you will see in the digital adoption plan from IAMTEAM include:
  • 1. Current state analysis, including a current technology map.
  • 2. Future state technology map, identifying new solutions or enhancements to existing solutions.
  • 3. Prioritized list and descriptions of digital solutions (digital initiatives) and how they impact your business goals.
  • 4. Implementation roadmap, including timelines, costs, and required capabilities.
No. The Boost Your Business Technology grant is intended to assess your digital maturity and opportunities to increase your competitiveness through digital transformation. Eligible costs are limited to those involved with creating your digital adoption plan.
However, upon approval of your digital adoption plan, you will be able to apply for an interest-free loan and use those funds for implementation of your digital strategy. That means the loan can be used to purchase new hardware, software, and services to help implement the technology.
Yes, we can assist in the implementation of your plan. Examples of how we can work with you include redesigning processes to support new technology, configuring software, and implementing cybersecurity solutions. While IAMTEAM's engagement from a Canada Digital Adoption Program perspective concludes after developing your digital adoption plan, our team is ready to support your journey from planning to execution.
While there is no fixed deadline to apply for CDAP grants, it's important to note that funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend applying as soon as possible to secure your grant and embark on your digital transformation journey.
